The Anahuacalli Museum – Diego Rivera
The Anahuacalli museum is an impressive creation of muralist Diego Rivera. Located in Coyoacan, south of Mexico City. Rivera’s life collection consists of around 60,000 pre-hispanic pieces. He had previously conceived a building to exhibit them.
Built of volcanic stone, the museum was completed after his death. Tickets to Museum run about $35 pesos, $15 for minors under 16 yrs. old. Ticket is valid for the Frida Khalo Museum as well, and there’s a shuttle service between museums.
A place of great energy http://museoanahuacalli.org.mx/museo/diego-rivera/ a must see when visiting Coyoacan, Mexico.
For a small fee pictures are allowed, although I must admit the magic resides within the volcanic stone walls of this massive structure. Absolutely loved it.
